  1. Oh cmon, are people really peddling this idea that the reason PVP population is low it’s because some guy on reddit got his feelings hurt?

Anyone that was part of the PVP community when the game launched knows what alienated and drove away a huge ammount of players, Bioware pulled ranked warzones from 1.2 an hour before the patch was released, later they removed all PVP quests on Ilum, eliminating any motivation for world PVP, they removed 8v8 ranked.

And people also quit years ago because of how grindy was to get PVP gear, while it’s great that they are reducing the price now, the damage is already done, many of those who left moved on to other games and wont come back.

That being said, if you find someone keeps insulting or harassing you make sure to report him/her and that way we can combat trolls, idiots and very toxic players.

Also if someone is annoying you but is not breaking any rules that warrant reporting, just hit that block button

    Regards

    1. I think there are some in the thread that were coming at it from that perspective, but I’m certainly not. You are correct that there were and are other systemic issues that hurt PvP in general over time. That said, and to your point on harassment, it doesn’t hurt to try to improve the environment for new players checking it out. Nothing says that the population can’t improve at least a little over time even within the limited bounds that make up PvP today by improving the new player experience with the community.
