This week @AIESema, @MaxTheGrey and Astromech EPC-74 talk about the details of the new Contraband Slot Machine. We cover how it works, the rewards available, it’s impact on mission skills and crafting, and what interesting things it might mean for the future of interactive strongholds. We also cover news for the week from SWTOR in general and from our guild, Alea Iacta Est.
On Jedi Covenant, find Max playing as: Imperial (Max’z, Mhax, Mhaxs, Mhaxz) Republic (Maxz, Maxxz, M’axz) and Sema playing as: Imperial (Maurienne, Enne) Republic (Semaperdu). AIE guild information can be found at http://aie-guild.info/swtor

Enjoyed the conversation about the Slot Machines. As someone who sold Midlith Crystals, Doonium, and Adaptive Circuitry, I was disappointed as well that basically 3 characters had useless crew mission skills. All that being said, they did “nerf” the machines and now the chances of getting any jawa drops is next to nothing. So this lasted about 2 weeks or so, definitely an interesting experiment. Now to see if they do another one down the line, what the drop rates on those will be.
Agreed on the before and after perspectives. I want more interactive devices and don’t mind the idea of things that have an impact on the market, but I think they just need one of the company accountants to do a quick review of the cost/return and they’ll be set. 🙂
