This week @AIESema, @MaxTheGrey and Astromech EPC-06 talk about the recent news headlines on a new cartel pack, the upcoming game update, and the finale of the AIE SWTOR Amazing Race. We also examine a holocron of dark secrets on how to level as a healer.
Disclaimer: Ewok hang gliders should not be used by non-Ewok races. Failure to observe weight limits and other safety precautions may result in the user ending up late (as in, “Here lies the late Max who decided to try out Treek’s glider and jumped off a cliff on Tatooine. Have a nice dirt nap.”)
I’m really liking the podcast. I’ve listened to all your episodes so far. Please keep at it! So far my favorite parts have been hearing about what events your guild does, Like the Amazing Race and the details that go with them. It’s inspired me to try and do something along those lines as well for my guild.
Thanks! Feel free to keep in touch. I’ll try to call out some of the other guild events we’ve done and what we are planning. It would be great to hear what you all are up to too. We have a strong legacy from AIE in WoW being one of the biggest and oldest guilds and we’ve been able to build on that with our events, but new ideas are always interesting.
My guild is called BYOB, so all of our events, titles and website have a party theme to them. We only have about 40 active players, so it’s not a huge guild, but most of us have been together for the last 2 years in SWTOR. It may not be unique to us, but one of the events we run about once a month is a “Drunk Run” with a long list of Fun “Rules.” Breaking, achieving or following any of the “rules” results in drinking. One of the more popular goals during a “Drunk Run” are getting Datacrons. Which gets considerably harder as the night goes on, because many require a high level of functional agility with your fingers. We use teamspeak to communicate mostly. Its a very fun and social event, lots of laughs the whole time. And while most op to drink alcohol, we strongly respect the others that wish to remain a “DD” or “sober” with sodas instead. The overall goal is to enjoy each other’s company in the game without the pressure and focus an Operation requires. More than a few times have people passed out on their keyboards 🙂 It’s basically a Galactic Bar Crawl.
I like the pub crawl idea! Also really like the non-Ops socializing. You’re right that taking that focus and pressure off while still getting a chance to hang out can be really fun.
This is a great podcast, so glad I found it! Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to hear the next one!
Thanks! We publish on Tuesday so Ep. 7 will be recorded tonight and go up tomorrow. Sema and I both got to see some of the Dread Fortress, so I’m sure we’ll talk about that.
Great can’t wait to hear about it!
